my birth journey:

With five children (ages 20, 18, 16, 14, and 12), my personal journey through motherhood is the foundation of the care I provide. I have had a variety of birth experiences.

  • My first child involved induction, an epidural, and vacuum assistance.

  • My second baby came naturally, and truly made me feel empowered.

  • With my third, I expected to deliver just like my second baby, but a cord prolapse led to an emergency C-section and a difficult recovery.

  • I was determined to have a VBAC and safely delivered my fourth baby unmedicated home thanks to an amazing midwife.

  • My fifth baby was two weeks late, but I was able to have another successful VBAC at home, unmedicated, after a prodromal labor.

Birth rarely happens exactly how we imagine, and navigating the emotional processing of these moments is a critical part of the postpartum journey. I want to hear your unique birth story and to allow you the opportunity to work through any feelings—of triumph or disappointment—that arise.
